American requirements for FLA factory inspection:

Employment relationship: Employers should adopt and comply with employment rules and conditions that respect workers, and at least guarantee their rights under national and international labor and social security laws and regulations.

Discrimination: No one shall be subject to any discrimination in employment, including employment, compensation, promotion, discipline, dismissal, or retirement, based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, or political opinion; Social group or racial background.

Harassment or abuse: Every employee should be treated with respect and dignity. No employee shall be subjected to any physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse.

Forced labor: Forced labor, including prison labor, contract labor, bonded labor, or other forms of forced labor, shall not be used.

Child labor: No one shall be employed under the age of 15 or under the age of completing compulsory education, whichever is higher.

Health, Safety, and Environment: Employers should provide a safe and healthy workplace to prevent health accidents and injuries caused by work processes or the operation of employer facilities. Employers should take responsible measures to mitigate the negative impact of the workplace on the environment.

Working hours: Employers shall not require workers to work overtime beyond the normal overtime hours allowed by the laws of the country where the workers are located. The normal working week shall not exceed 48 hours. Employers should allow workers to take at least 24 consecutive hours of rest every seven days. All overtime work should be voluntary. Employers are not allowed to request overtime on a regular basis and should compensate all overtime work with insurance premiums. Except in special circumstances, the total normal and overtime hours within a week shall not exceed 60 hours.

Compensation: Every worker has the right to receive compensation for a normal working week, which is sufficient to meet their basic needs and provide some discretionary income. Employers should pay at least the minimum wage or an appropriate current wage, whichever is higher, comply with all legal requirements regarding wages, and provide any incidental benefits as stipulated by law or contract. If compensation does not meet the basic needs of workers and provides some discretionary income, each employer should work with the state of Florida to take appropriate action to gradually achieve the level of compensation.
