Bestbuy was founded in 1966 and is a consumer electronics retailer from the United States. Currently, it has branches in Mexico and Canada. Bestbuy mainly markets consumer electronics, home and office supplies, appliances, entertainment software, and related services. On February 22, 2011, Bestbuy announced on its official website that it would close 9 Bestbuy stores in the Chinese mainland and planned to open nearly 50 Five-Star Electrical stores in China by 2012. Bestbuy promised to respect local customs and habits in global operations, and required its employees, agents, service providers, suppliers, and their subcontractors to abide by relevant laws and industry standards.
