The inspection process of Mattel mainly includes: 

The Global Manufacturing Code applies to all entities involved in manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and distribution of all products or packages bearing the Mattel trademark. GMP provides guidance and minimum standards for all production, assembly, and distribution facilities that handle Mattel products. GMP requires providing safe and fair treatment to workers, while respecting cultural, racial, and ideological differences of various countries while protecting the environment. GMP also requires regular internal inspections of Mattel and supplier companies to ensure compliance with the requirements of this code.

Mattel commits to implementing GMP standards in all of its business operations and only conducting business with suppliers that comply with this code. Mattel expects all of its suppliers to adhere to the requirements of GMP and assist them in meeting these requirements. However, Mattel will terminate partnerships with suppliers that do not meet the requirements of this code.

Mattel and its business partners comply with relevant laws and regulations in their operations. Mattel has established the following comprehensive standards and requires all production units and business partners to comply. This code is forward-looking and continuously improves to ensure continuous protection of workers and the environment. Additionally, Mattel has developed a comprehensive and detailed set of procedures and standards to enable us to implement and manage GMP in different countries. Procedures and standards will be updated regularly to adapt to different global trends. 

Management system

The production unit must establish a system to monitor labor, social and environmental, and health and safety issues. 

2. Wages and Working Hours

a. All working hours of employees must be compensated. Normal wages and overtime wages must comply with the legal standards.

b. Wages must be paid in the legal currency and at least once a month.

c. Working hours must comply with the regulations of the country where the company is located and the requirements of Mattel.

d. Normal working hours and overtime hours must be recorded, and the records must be verifiable and accurately reflect all working hours of the employees.

e. Overtime must be voluntary.

f. Rest time must be provided for employees in accordance with the law and the requirements of Mattel.

g. Deductions from wages must comply with the law and the requirements of Mattel. 

3. Age Requirements

The age of all employees must comply with the laws and regulations of Mattel. 

4. Labor Requirements

7. Living Conditions

a. The dormitories must be separated from the production workshops and warehouses.

b. The dormitories and the cafeteria must be safe, hygienic and able to meet the basic needs of the employees. 

8. Workplace Safety

The production unit must establish procedures to address the health and safety issues that exist in the workplace. 

9. Health

a. It is necessary to provide first aid and medical facilities for employees.

b. Supervisory procedures must be established to ensure that employees are not exposed to harmful working environments (such as chemicals, noise, and high temperatures, etc.). 

10. Emergency Plan

a. The production units must establish procedures to handle emergencies, such as fires, leakage accidents and natural disasters.

b. The emergency exit doors of all production plants must not be locked during working hours. The emergency exits must be clearly marked and kept unobstructed. 

11. Environmental Protection

Production units must establish environmental protection plans to minimize the impact on the environment.
