Introduction to SCAN Counter Terrorism Factory Inspection

At present, there are many factories in China that specialize in Disney branding. I believe everyone is very familiar with Disney's factory inspections. In the past, the main focus was on ILS international labor standards review. If the minimum compliance standard with MCS is reached, it is considered to have passed the review and obtained FAMA.

However, recent news has come from Disney that all Disney manufacturers' factories must undergo the C-TPAT anti-terrorism security audit conducted by SCAN.

SCAN, also known as Supplier Compliance Audit Network, is an industry association established by importers of all sizes in the United States. SCNA's factory audit goal is to reduce supply chain security audits and allow importers to share audit report information. For example, Wal Mart and TARGET, among the big customers we see, require their subordinate factories to complete this anti-terrorism audit.

SCAN members can submit an audit application to SCAN. Upon receiving the application, SCAN will assign it to any of the following six notary firms: BSI, BV, SGS, UL, INTERTEK, OMEGA. After the audit is completed, the auditing agency will upload the violations to the SCAN system, and SCAN members will receive relevant reports.

SCAN reviews different standards from others

SCAN audit is a counter-terrorism audit standard written by the British Royal Company BSI, which combines the actual situation of suppliers and factory safety locations in accordance with the C-TPAT anti-terrorism standard. Based on countries and regions with different security factors, combined with the US C-TPAT, which is completely different from the C-TPAT, GSV, and SCS audit standards, an audit sharing platform is built to establish a comprehensive and reasonable anti-terrorism audit scoring system. SCAN helps to improve audit consistency, reduce audit costs, lower audit frequency, and establish the SCAN Compliance Audit Association.
