The full name of Oeko tex is the International Association for Textile and Leather Ecology Research and Testing. In 1992, the German Hohenstein and Austrian Textile Research Association jointly developed the Oeko tex standard 100 and founded the Oeko tex Association; It is currently recognized as an authoritative ecological textile standard in the textile industry, and its testing standards refer to the latest laws, regulations, and standard requirements of different countries and organizations in the textile field. Oeko tex updates and improves these standards every year to meet new needs. By adding inspection substances and strictly controlling limit values, we will regulate the residual harmful substances in textiles. Many large buyers in Europe and America use Oeko tex standard 100 as the technical basis for product procurement.

OEKO-TEX certification steps

1. The applicant shall submit the application form and test samples to the issuing authority;

2. The laboratory tests the samples based on standard requirements (testing generally takes 3-4 weeks);

3. The institution issues a testing report, and the customer submits a declaration of conformity;

4. After passing the test, the institution will issue a certificate to the applicant;

5. Within 6 months after the certificate is issued, the auditor shall conduct on-site follow-up visits to the applicant, and on-site audits shall be conducted every 3 years.

Note: A. The certificate is valid for one year and needs to be renewed upon expiration.

B、 Product testing is qualified, and certificates and test reports are issued; If the test fails, the enterprise is required to rectify the production process or the raw materials, dyes or additives used, and then submit the improved samples for retesting; This test is only conducted on the non-conforming items of the non-conforming samples, and the certificate will not be issued until all test items of all samples meet the standards. C、 Only raw materials, dyes, and additives from declared (i.e. tested) suppliers can use Oeko Tex Standard 100 certificates and labels. If the enterprise uses them beyond the scope, all consequences shall be borne by the enterprise.
